Scott Breza's childhood in the rolling landscapes of Western Maryland and Rachael Breza's upbringing surrounded by New Zealand’s unrivaled natural wonders instilled in them a profound appreciation for the environment. These early connections to nature became the foundation of their values and the driving force behind their work.
Scott and Rachael Breza established Milford Development in 2002, drawing inspiration from one of Earth’s most breathtaking destinations—Milford Sound, New Zealand. The choice of name wasn’t just about beauty; it was a reflection of their deep respect for nature and their commitment to preservation.
With Milford Development, Scott and Rachael have merged their passion for sustainability with their expertise, creating a company dedicated to responsible growth. For them, every project is an opportunity to honor the environment, protect its beauty, and inspire others to do the same. One way they see aim to contribute is by reusing existing buildings or previously disturbed land whether it be residential, commercial, or industrial. Each reused building matters. And, when new projects come online there is an added responsibility to maximize technology, efficiency, and care given the future impacts.
